Jyuji Ishii Museum

JYUJI ISHII MUSEUM

Jyuji Ishii is a charitable entrepreneur in the Meiji Era and a person who created the Okayama Orphanage. From its achievement, it is said to be "father of child welfare".
A museum that exhibits his materials is located in Kijo Town, Miyazaki Prefecture.In the museum there are exhibitions of group photographs with orphans and orphans who raised over 1,000 orphans.
The exhibition has a letter that he sent to his family and a coat of his belongings.


 You can also appreciate oil painting by Kotaro Kojima and stained glass by Keisuke Serizawa.
 The Western pavilion held in Okayama during the Meiji period was relocated and preserved.
